Must be aged 21–75 and have held a valid licence for at least 2 years
Provisional, learner, or suspended licences are not accepted
International licence holders must provide a passport and visa copy
Vehicles must be driven only on sealed roads
Travel south of Katherine or outside the NT is not permitted, unless approved in writing
Off-road driving, beach access, river crossings, and flood zones are strictly prohibited
No smoking or pets allowed inside the vehicle (unless pre-approved)
Standard insurance included with an excess of $5,500 + admin fee
Optional Reduced Excess: $2,000 + admin fee (for drivers aged 25+)
Young drivers (21–24): Additional $1,000 excess applies
$100 admin fee applies to all claims
A $250 refundable bond is required before pick-up
Bond is returned within 10 business days, provided the car is returned on time, clean, full of fuel, and undamaged
